United Nations Overlooks Pakistan’s Human Rights Abuses in Balochistan
As a grisly video emerges from occupied Balochistan depicting the Pakistan Army riddling an innocent unarmed civilian with bullets, the president of the UN General Assembly Maria Fernanda Espinosa visited Pakistan on January 18th until January 22nd. Despite the UN President's presence in Pakistan, Pakistan's military refused to cease their relentless military operations, perpetual campaign of enforced abductions and extrajudicial executions in Balochistan.
Although the families of missing persons continued their protest camp in Quetta during the UN president Maria Espinosa's visit to Pakistan, but she did not take notice of the thousands of Baloch missing persons, unending military campaigns, serious human rights violations, or the extreme state of enforced poverty in occupied Balochistan. The UN's failure to address such serious issues is encouraging Pakistan to continue to accelerate their genocidal campaign in Balochistan.
